Sarawak Slipways Sdn Bhd owns and operates a shipbuilding and repairing yard in Miri.
The yard covers a total area of 22,250 square meters with 4,000 square meters under shed
for its fabrication and machinery works. . The yard has a docking slipways of 80
meters in length capable of accommodating vessels up to 1,800 dwt and is fully equipped for
its shipbuilding and ship repairing activities.

Under the Companyˇ¦s expansion program, a new yard at the Kuala Baram
Industrial Zone of Miri has been developed and completed in 2002. The new yard covers a
total area of 61,000 square meters and under shed area of 6,000 square meter.
For steel buildings, the new yard has two production lines capable
of undertaking multiple projects simultaneously. Within five years,
fifteen (15) vessels has been built and successfully delivered from
our new production facility. Two (2) more vessels are under construction
and are on scheduled for delivery.
For aluminum buildings, a sheded production facility
with 2,500 square meter is available. In 2004, four units IC16M2 [info]
were completed in as little as 4 months perhull. Outfitting were completed in 2 months perhull.
