Sarawak Slipways Sdn Bhd located at Miri is one of the longest established shipbuilding and ship repairing yards in Malaysia. The company was founded in 1967 and delivered probably the first steel ship constructed in Malaysia in the same year.

Since 1967, Sarawak Slipways has always been one of the busiest shipbuilding and repairing yards in Malaysia. It has grown from a relatively simple river tugs and barges builder to one of the most reputed yards in this region in the building and repairing of offshore support vessels, naval ships' harbor and ocean going tugs, aluminium high speed crafts and other special services vessels.

The Company has so far delivered more than 300 vessels whilst at the same time consistently provided maintenance and repairing services to the shipping industry.

With its commitment to its mission to provide efficient services to customers, the Company strives to build, develop and maintain a team of highly motivated, committed, determined, effective and efficient human resource within the Company.

The Company started its training program in the 1970s. Today, the Company is managed by a team of qualified and experienced professionals and supported by a well trained and highly motivated work force of 350.
